I was born and raised in Bronx, NY until I moved to Homestead in 1994. I grew up in a small church with a grandmother who never wavered in her faith. I knew of God but didn’t have a personal relationship with Him until I moved to Homestead. God’s hand has been evident throughout my life and I am grateful for every part of my journey which has brought me here. The Gospel has transformed my life from being independent and self-serving to complete dependency on my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My life is not my own, and that frees me from expectations from this world, myself, and others. My hope and prayer is that our church is a beacon of light, a source of comfort and hope for our city through the message of the Good News. I’m grateful I can serve the city of Homestead through my church. To be able to pour love and God’s truth into children is an immense privilege that I never set out to do but keeps presenting itself. I lead a team that provides a safe and nurturing environment to the families of our church by caring for children from infancy through 5th grade. We provide intentional Biblical teaching and worship where kids experience the Bible as the only authoritative truth inspired by the Holy Spirit that shows the story of redemption and restoration through Jesus Christ. I’m a proud Mother of four and even prouder Grandmother of two.
